This Privacy Policy explains how BuiltForShops (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use our websites, shop-site products, exclusive local leads, Host & Handle, and related services.
Information we collect
- Contact details you submit (name, email, phone, business name, address, trade, service area).
- Payment details processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Lead details homeowners submit so we can deliver them to the shop that ordered coverage.
- Basic site analytics and advertising pixels (for example Meta) when you visit our pages.
How we use information
- To build and host shop websites and related services you buy.
- To deliver exclusive local leads to the email and phone number you provide at signup.
- To charge agreed fees (including card verification and per-lead charges).
- To send service emails and transactional SMS about leads and account activity you opted into.
- To improve our products and prevent fraud or abuse.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide a delivery phone number on our leads signup at builtforshops.com/leads/ and agree to the SMS consent checkbox, we send transactional text messages from BuiltForShops (including our toll-free number) when a matching homeowner lead is ready for your shop.
- Message frequency varies with lead volume.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out of texts. Reply HELP for help.
- We do not sell your phone number. Consent is not a condition of buying leads, but we need a phone number to deliver lead texts as described on the signup page.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate (hosting, payments, email, SMS, advertising). We deliver homeowner lead details only to the shop buyer who ordered coverage for that area and trade. We do not sell personal information.
Retention & security
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Your choices
You can pause lead delivery, update your contact details, or email us to request access or deletion where applicable. For SMS, reply STOP.
